COMPRESSED AIR QUALITY CLASSES

ISO 8573.1 defines quality classes for general-purpose compressed air based on the residual content of the three main contaminants normally present:

Air Quality

[*] Particle size

[**] As specified by the user or supplier equipment and more stringent than Class 1

Separation

TYPICAL INSTALLATION / SECTORS

Depending on the areas where compressed air is used, it is necessary to ensure that it is treated correctly by installing the machine professionally. The first choice involves the type of compressor - screw, piston, scroll, centrifugal, oil- or non-oil-injected. The second choice concerns the dryer. Depending on the operating conditions or performance required, Friulair produces refrigeration (e.g., ACT) or adsorption (HDT) dryers. The installation is completed with a combination of filters, drains, coolers and water/oil separators for condensates.
